Bright, clear lemon yellow — extremely fresh nose with notes of crisp green apples, limes and lemons as well as herbal notes. The palate is also dominated by a good portion of freshness, again apples and green pears, plus citrusy notes of lime, lemon or even Japanese yuzu. The proximity of the vines to the cool Atlantic and the sandy soils give the wine a distinct minerality and a noticeable salinity, which manifests itself in almost iody notes of oysters and a slightly salty taste on the tongue. The acid forms the backbone of this extremely exciting chenin blanc and guarantees it an exceptionally long life. Great stuff!
