About the wine

Working in viticulture on a part-time basis since 1890, the Knoll family has dedicated themselves entirely to viticulture in Würzburg since 1980 and has been setting trends in the Franconian wine-growing region ever since with their enthusiasm for experimentation, their wines and, last but not least, their architectural style. The winery (VDP member since 2001) includes 25 ha. Many steep slopes are sometimes so densely planted that all work there is really done by hand - and that is a lot in biodynamic viticulture, where all chemical “helpers” are not used. With Ludwig Knoll and Dominik Diefenbach, there is also the courage to renounce and experiment in the cellar, e.g. the expansion in concrete and amphorae, the meticulous selection of wood. This is modern, new paths in harmony with nature! Independent and direct wines, individualists with a good soul, for and not against. Great personalities - who are now finally available in Switzerland!
