About the wine

At the beginning of 2000, the estate was purchased by Roman Niewodniczanski, restored and expanded to include numerous top locations or less good locations were replaced. The current size of around 75 hectares, which are located almost exclusively in the core areas of the recognized best steep slopes on the Saar, is impressive. The aim is to produce wines with a high harmony of ingredients, which are digestible on the palate and embody pure drinking pleasure. The characteristics of each vineyard should be optimally expressed, and the results are mostly dry-aged, mineral-finesse wines with ripe fruit and low alcohol content.
