About the wine
The winemaker from the German winery Van Volxem masters this white wine with sensitivity and intuition in the picturesque landscape of the Moselle-Saar-Ruwer region. If we can offer something special for Christmas 2021, it's this snappy white wine 2020 Riesling Schonfels Grosses Gewächs. Vinification
Low average yields and selective manual harvesting. The grapes are gently pressed and then fermented spontaneously in stainless steel tanks using wild yeasts. Storing for ten to eleven months on fine yeast in wooden barrels gives the wine additional complexity and creaminess. The wine is bottled without fining. All wines from Van Volxem are vegan. No fining agents or wine treatment agents are used that contain animal components or are of animal origin.
