The Weingut Schloss Lieser, located on the Moselle, was bought in the 1990s by Thomas Haag together with his wife Ute in a state in need of renovation. After years of hard development work in cellars, vineyards and buildings, as well as the high standards of themselves to produce the highest possible Riesling quality, they were once again awarded the highest ratings in all renowned wine guides as one of very few wineries in Germany. With their unique portfolio of 8 LARGE LAYERS, it is particularly important to develop the respective terroir through gentle natural processing and spontaneous fermentation. The fine, loose slate soils give Riesling wines their distinctive mineral expression. Niederberg Helden is a prime location shaped as a boiler, which guarantees high ripening of the grapes. Noble, mineral, precise, finely fruity late harvest with an attractive slight residual sweetness.
