Tasting note
Markus Molitor's Riesling süss Ürziger Würzgarten Auslese has fruity-spicy aromas of peach, nectarines, essential herbs, yellow and white flowers, flint and slate on the nose. On the palate, it is complex, mineral, with pronounced fruity notes, very lively and with an impressive sweet/acid interplay. Very long salty, floral and multi-faceted aftertaste.
Vinification
Markus Molitor's Riesling süss Ürziger Würzgarten Auslese is made from 100% Riesling. After harvesting, the grapes were immediately gently ground and macerated for several hours on the aromatic and mineral-rich berry skins. The must was then fermented spontaneously and slowly and coolly. Gentle aging in large wooden barrels and a long yeast storage period followed by fermentation.
