About the wine
The winemaker from the Spanish winery Marqués de Cáceres masters this red wine with sensitivity and intuition in the picturesque and fertile landscape of the Upper Ebro. A must for connoisseurs, this present Tempranillo 2015 — Rioja DOCa Excellens Reserva! Flaschenpost team tip: Combine this tempranillo with polenta or lasagna.
Tasting note
The Rioja DOCa Excellens Reserva's fruity bouquet of black cherry, chocolate and cooked blackberry shows aromatic complexity and plenty of culinary potential. The present notes of prune, clove and marmalade create their individual texture. With subdued, finely developed tannins, a strong body and present acidity, this fruity red wine shows its impeccable quality.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with meat, beef, grill and lamb.
Vinification
Controlled temperatures starting from 10°C to 28°C. Prolonged alcoholic maceration with the skins for up to 25 days to extract more color, aromas and tannin structure. Malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Once this process is complete, the wines are placed in barrels for maturation and transferred every 6 months.
