Rioja DOCa Parcela N° 5 2018 - Luis Alegre

About the wine

During harvesting, the grapes are collected in small 15 kg boxes and then picked out on the selection table. Luis Alegre allows the grapes with their skins to ferment and macerate for at least 20 days in frustoconical stainless steel containers with a small capacity (7000 kg). From there, the liquid is transferred unfiltered into carefully selected barrels made from the finest French, European and American wood from stone and white oak. After 14 months of aging in wooden barrels, the wine is bottled, slightly filtered and, after a further storage period of 6 - 8 months, is delivered to the consumer in an optimal state for consumption.

Luis AlegreRed wine | 75cl1416°-18°CTempranillo
Tasting note
Intense cherry color, sparkling and hardly any tears on the edge of the glass. Very spicy on the nose, balsamic, abundant red fruits, vanilla nuances and cinnamon in the background. Great aromatic complexity, which is achieved by the adequate selection of grapes and the use of fine and noble woods of the best quality. The palate is elegant, tasty, harmonious and fresh. Well-integrated tannins and a long finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with barbecues, lamb dishes but also hard cheeses such as Manchego.
