About the wine

Roda is an important Rioja winery of superlatives based in the heart of the privileged sub-region of Rioja Alta, the city of Haro. In the manner of a Premier Cru, work is carried out uncompromisingly at the highest level, from the vineyard with its old vines to the spectacular bodega. The charismatic winery manager Agustin Santolaya explains the thistle plant on the label as a poetic reference to the excellent soils and the selected locations on which Roda allows majestic quality to blossom. The Roda range now enjoys an outstanding reputation in Spain itself, but also worldwide. The Reserva represents a Tempranillo-dominated style, which is characterized by redberry fruit. Noble full maturity combined with Atlantic freshness and a touch of exoticism with spices and cocoa result in a superior first-class Rioja.
