Ripasso Valpolicella Classico Superiore DOC 2018 - Tommasi Viticoltori

About the wine

Veneto — Veneto, what a paradisiacal region between the magical capital of Venice and Lake Garda, around which magnificent vineyards stretch over rolling hills. Anyone who has ever been there wants to “ripassare”, come back and experience it again at any time. “Ripasso” is therefore a key word, and at the same time a pillar of regional wine culture. “Ripassare” means “happen again.” The skins of the Amarone grapes, which have been raisined for several months, i.e. air-dried, are married with Valpolicella wine after the Amarone production has ended, a second fermentation starts and gives it fullness, stature and complexity. In short: Top producer Tommasis Ripasso as the brother of Amarone transports you sensually into the ambience of a blessed (wine) world.
