About the wine
If you're looking for something special, don't miss out on this distinctive white wine 2016 — Roero Arneis DOCG. Fertile and sunny landscapes of Piedmont give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Viano Michele conjures up this white wine with refinement and sensitivity. The Flaschenpöstler guarantee a culinary experience when you offer this arneis with tapas dishes or fried chicken.
Tasting note
This Arneis has a strong straw yellow color. On the nose, the strong aromas of ripe yellow stone fruit paired with some citrus and slightly spicy notes of green hazelnut and Italian herbs are pleasing. On the palate, it is full-bodied with lots of meltiness and mineral freshness. The light fruit sweetness harmonises perfectly with the vibrating acidity. A very classic Roero Arneis that shows all the benefits of this grape variety.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with antipasti, fish, seafood, white meat, medium-bodied starters and Italian specialities.
Vinification
The grapes for this Arneis come from the oldest vines on the estate in the Röro region. The vines grow there mainly on calcareous sandy soils. After careful manual harvesting, the grapes are sorted again at the winery and then fermented cool in steel tanks at controlled temperatures before aging again in steel.
