Clarendelle belongs to Clarence Dillon Wines, which also own the legendary Bordeaux Châteaux Haut-Brion. Of course, Clarendelle's vines don't grow next to those from Haut-Brion. The great art of Bordeaux wines, however, is assemblage, the ability to combine wines from different sites and grape varieties in such a way that the result is greater than the sum of the individual parts. The same team that is responsible for the top wines at Clarence Dillon Wines also makes the assemblages at Clarendelle. The result is very good Bordeaux wines at affordable prices.
