About the wine
With the outstanding Sangiovese 2014 — Rosso di Montalcino DOC, nuances and accents are redefined. Blooming and fertile Tuscan landscapes give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Le Chiuse conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. Flaschenpöstler tip: Combine this Sangiovese with beef or pizza.
Tasting note
Brilliant ruby red with purple reflections. On the nose, it is elegant, red fruits such as cherry and currant dominate, plus floral notes of lilac and violet. It is fruity on the palate, the freshness is supported by a crisp acidity balanced by elegant tannins. The wine, which is already available now, leaves a harmonious, elegant impression.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with beef, venison, hard cheese and lamb.
Vinification
Classic fermentation with mash fermentation at 29 degrees for 19 days. During fermentation, the must was constantly moved from bottom to top to maintain and intensify its color, body and structure. After fermentation, the wine was pumped into 20 to 30 hectoliter Slavonian and French oak barrels, in which it went through malolactic fermentation and then aged for twelve months.
