About the wine
The winemaker from the French winery Domaine Pichon grows this wine in the Côtes du Rhône countryside. With this dominant Shiraz 2008 — Rouge Saint-Joseph AOC, the term flavor takes on a new meaning. The Flaschenpöstler promise a culinary experience when you offer this Shiraz with game or roasted vegetables.
Tasting note
Color: Bright ruby red with shiny red-gold reflections, subtle hem. Aromatics: Intense bouquet of red fruits, peppery aromas, warm roasted notes alternating with a delicate spice and subtle animal notes. Body: Long drink, strong body, delicate tannins, slightly sweet aromas of red fruits, the finish is accompanied by fresh, slightly peppery notes. Quality: Balanced style, varietal wine with a good structure and elegantly aged.
Culinary recommendation
Goats well with duck breast, beef steak with red wine butter, herb wrapped lamb, goat and cow's milk cheese.
