If you want to surprise a wine connoisseur, then with this biting red wine 2010 — SAGRANTINO di Montefalco DOCG! With experience and intuition, the winemaker from the Italian winery Antonelli masters this red wine in the beautiful and blooming landscape in Umbria. Culinary tip from Flaschenpost team: This sagrantino can be served very well with lamb shoulder or steak.

Tasting note
Sagrantino is a grape variety native to Umbria, the green heart of Italy. This Sagrantino is a powerful yet elegant red wine, with lots of beautiful tannins.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with grilled meats and roasts, pot roasts, game dishes and aged hard cheeses.
Vinification
Hand picked. Maceration of 15-20 days. Maturation in small oak barrels for 6 months then in large oak barrels for 12 months. Bottle maturing 12 months. The wine is not filtered.
