About the wine
The French winery Baron De Ladoucette is located on the Loire between the towns of Pouilly-sur-Loire and Sancerre. Comte Edmond Lafond bought the estate in 1787 and it has remained owned by the family to this day. Since 1972, it has been managed by his descendant, the trained winemaker Patrick De Ladoucette, who also gave the Baron De Ladoucette winery its current name. The vineyards cultivated by the Baron De Ladoucette winery cover around 100 hectares. The growing area is dominated by slopes facing south and southwest and has a soil of clay and marl with a little flint and limestone. The Baron De Ladoucette winery also owns the unique vineyard 'Clos de la Poussie, 'which is shaped like an amphitheatre and produces the finest and finest wines.
