About the wine
The winery was founded in 1850 and has been closely associated with the Laporte family ever since. Today, the company owns 30 hectares of organically cultivated vineyards, including excellent sites in Sancerre. René Laporte earned the company too much reputation in the 19th century. Since then, year after year, the wines have been among the best on the Loire and grace the wine lists of numerous fine restaurants. Since the conversion to organic viticulture in 2013, the wines have become even finer and gentler and impress with a beguiling inner peace — great sancerre!

Tasting note
Newly in love - what a bright, gentle joy. Very bright, fresh citrus fruit, almost blossoming white, a gentle mineral tingling, lime, herbal, but also this dreamy glow, very calm, creamy, a warm orange touch in the fruit. On the palate, wonderfully soft, completely at home, and in this inner peace, this cheerful happiness, this very ripe, mild and rich acidity, the soft minerality a tart joy, unfolds so carefree and beautiful. Charming Sancerre, so fresh, pure and dreamy!
Vinification
Selective reading by hand. Very gentle processing, gentle pressing and transfer using gravity only, slow, temperature-controlled fermentation in steel tanks, no biological acid degradation, ageing on yeast in steel tanks until bottling in May of the following year.
