About the wine
The winemaker from the French winery Jean Max Roger has absolutely mastered his craft. Style and refinement are the characteristics of this white wine, which originates in the sunny and picturesque Loire countryside. Easter 2019 is just around the corner! Make the most of it with this provocative Sauvignon Blanc 2015 — Sancerre Blanc Vieilles Vignes! Flaschenpöstler tip: Combine this Sauvignon Blanc with white meat or fish.
Tasting note
The Roger family has lived in Bué for a long time. They press their Sancerre Vieilles Vignes from grapes that are over 40 years old. They come exclusively from two exquisite sites: one from (calcareous, rocky soil) brings elegance, fruitiness and bouquet) and the other (terres blanches, limestone, brings the body). The yield is as low as 25 - 30 hl/ha, which results in around 10,000 bottles. After aging for one year in large wooden barrels and in steel tanks, the wine is bottled. It is rich and aromatic. The typical Sauvignon Blanc notes are typical: grassy, herbal, reminiscent of green fruits (gooseberries). It goes well with fish, seafood, goat and blue cheeses.
Culinary recommendation
