About the wine
With the fine Sancerre Le Vallon AC from 2017, you will positively surprise your friends. The winemaker from the French winery Domaine François Crochet has absolutely mastered his craft. Style and refinement are the characteristics of this white wine, which originates in the fertile and picturesque Loire countryside.
Tasting note
The Sancerre Le Vallon delights with expressive aromas of citrus fruits, ripe gooseberries, white peach, light floral notes and a touch of freshly mown grass. On the palate, it is full-bodied and juicy with a strong acid structure and a long-lasting finish characterized by a great balance of fruit and acidity.
Vinification
The small 2.7 hectare site of Vallon is located between the municipalities of Bué and Sancerre and has calcareous gravel marl soil. After manual harvesting and cold maceration, the juice is fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. The aging takes place on yeast in steel tanks. Biological acid degradation is avoided.
