Bright lemon yellow with greenish reflections — fresh nose with subtle notes of aromatic limes and grapefruits, green apples, peaches and white flowers. The palate is decidedly dry and characterized by the expected high acidity, which, however, is surprisingly harmonious and anything but unpleasant. The palate is also dominated by notes of fresh, crunchy fruits such as lemons, limes and grapefruits, along with the classic Granny Smith apples and, after a bit of air, white peaches again. In the finish, the wine leaves behind subtle saline notes of oyster shells and a mineral impression of crushed quartz rock. The varietal Vermentino owes this decidedly special character to the nearby Atlantic Ocean and it clearly distinguishes it from its Italian counterparts.
