About the wine
Give yourself joy for the senses with the fine Sankt Laurent vom Stein from 2015! The winemaker from the Austrian Weingut Familie Umathum has absolutely mastered his craft. Elegance and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originates in the picturesque landscape of Burgenland.

Tasting note
Dark garnet red, on the nose hints of thyme and orange peel, a light coffee note and extreme spiciness underlaid with smoky notes, ripe raspberries and dark cherries on the palate, soft and fine. It is long-lasting and elegant. This wine does not appear too lush in any phase, always very fine.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with mushrooms, truffles, venison, lamb and stews.
Vinification
Fermentation traditionally takes place with the skins to leach out the dyes and tannins, after about three weeks, the young wine is moved to small oak barrels and the acid is degraded organically. The wine is aged in small barriques for 22 months, which gives the wine stability for bottling. After bottling, the wine matures for another 15 months in the bottle in the winery's cellar.
