Tasting note
The playful bouquet of fruit compote, spices and tobacco brilliantly flirts with your sense of smell. Afterwards, spicy nuances of black cherry, black plum and black pepper resolutely and consciously convince your senses of taste. A strong body and dominant acidity result in the fruity red wine, which harmoniously shows a lot of character and class with fine tannins in the mouth.
Culinary recommendation
Recommended by Flaschenpöstlern: Goes perfectly with Gruyere burgers, red meat and pizza with mushrooms. Our recommendation: The ideal drinking temperature for the red wine is a slightly chilled 16°-18°C. The wine should be enjoyed during this period: now until 2028.
Vinification
A few words about vinification: The grapes are delivered from various vineyards above the village of Bolgheri and are heavily sorted according to qualities. Gentle squeezing is followed by mash fermentation for around 15 days. The young wine is then aged for 22 months in French barriques. In late autumn, the wine is bottled, where it rests for another year.
