Tasting note
Dark ruby with purple reflections. Appearant and elegant nose. The aromas are complex and delicate. Black berries, cassis, a cool spice. It is accompanied by notes of roasted wood, but also smoke and eucalyptus tones. Compact and juicy on the palate. Present, densely woven and grippy tannins of the highest quality. Impressive balancing act of power and elegance. Rich fruit and lots of spicy palate, ending in a lasting finish.
Culinary recommendation
The finest accompaniment to lamb and game as well as top dishes from Italian cuisine.
Vinification
The grapes are delivered from various vineyards above the village of Bolgheri and carefully sorted according to qualities. Gentle squeezing is followed by mash fermentation in stainless steel tanks for around 15 days. The young wine is then aged for 24 months in French barriques. In late autumn, the wine is bottled, where it rests for another year.
