About the wine
There is something left over from Christmas dinner every year. Do you know that? Why not invite your friends over for a glass of wine in the afternoon to enjoy the festive meal again and we recommend this strong Chenin Blanc 2016 — Saumur Blanc AC Les Salles Martin. With experience and intuition, the winemaker from the French winery Antoine Sanzay masters this white wine in the fertile and picturesque landscape of the Loire. Flaschenpöstler tip: Combine this chenin blanc with pretzel sticks or meatballs with tomato sauce.
Tasting note
From an area of around 1.16 ha in St. Cyr-en-Bourg. Expanded in 600Lt. barrels. Complex nose with aromas of citrus fruits, ripe pears, apple tart and some blossom honey, spiced with notes of (roasted) almonds, ginger and a fine beeswax touch. Balanced, lively palate, showing fine mineral spiciness, with beautiful melting and good freshness.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with fish and seafood, poultry dishes - such as quail breasts with cream morel sauce, but also with offal such as veal breads.
