About the wine

The “Falkenstein” winery in Vinschgau is managed independently and according to his own philosophy by Franz Pratzner as a member of the Frien winegrowers in South Tyrol. The winery has been family-owned for over 400 years. Franz Pratzner became a self-marketer in 1995 and has since then earned himself an excellent name among the winemakers in South Tyrol. The approximately 7-hectare wineries are located on the southern slopes of Naturns and are planted with the varieties Weissburgunder, Riesling, Blauburgunder, Sauvignon and Gewürztraminer. At the Pratzner family wineries, around 45,000 bottles are bottled and sold each year.
