About the wine

Kaltern, this dreamlike high plateau in South Tyrol, so idyllically situated and somehow untouched by the major faults. The Sölva family has been winegrowing here for 14 generations, continuously since 1731 they have been leading the winery through history, the wine has always been a good companion, with it it was simply more beautiful, without sometimes unbearable, but it was always good, unpretentious, beyond the region it has only been sold for a few decades . Sölvas only started bottling in the 1960s, but then quickly became one of the region's flagship farms, today with around 12 ha and now under the direction of Stephan and Peter Sölva, a South Tyrolean standard, rooted here in every respect, the old vines, the autochthonous varieties, the style.
