About the wine
If you're looking for something special, then you can't miss out on this distinctive white wine 2015 — Sauvignon Blanc Pössnitzberger Kapelle. You can describe nature with such words as mountainous or hilly. However, the Austrian winery Erwin Sabathi is trying to express the beauty of its homeland with this white wine. We think he succeeded! Flaschenpöstler tip: Combine this Sauvignon Blanc with goat cheese or mussels.
Tasting note
From grapes of old vines from a small, very steep - up to 50% - isolated vineyard on the Pössnitzberg, where there is a small chapel. Harvested by hand, fermented spontaneously and aged for 36 months in large, traditional oak barrels. Wonderfully inviting, elegant nose with aromas of ripe gooseberries, white peach and lime, finely spicy with notes of verbena and anise. Silky elegance on the palate, delicate and dance-like, yet extremely precise with enormous pressure and complexity. Wonderful drinking flow with an impressive length.
Culinary recommendation
Goes wonderfully with freshwater fish, dishes with asparagus, such as char fillet on fried green asparagus with lemon zest and fennel blossoms. But also great with poultry or boiled beef.
