About the wine

Roda is an important Rioja winery of superlatives based in the heart of the privileged sub-region of Rioja Alta, the city of Haro. In the manner of a Premier Cru, work is carried out uncompromisingly at the highest level, from the vineyard with its old vines to the spectacular bodega. The charismatic winery manager Agustin Santolaya explains the thistle plant on the label as a poetic reference to the excellent soils and the selected locations on which Roda allows majestic quality to blossom. The Roda range now enjoys an outstanding reputation in Spain itself, but also worldwide. The latest creation of the house is the Sela, a noble version of a young, wonderfully fruity and modern Rioja: it comes from 15 to 30-year-old vines and offers Roda quality in a highly attractive class.
