The origins of Abbazia and its viticulture date back to the 11th century. Today, it is experiencing a meteoric upswing, because since entrepreneur Francesco Lena and his son Gianfranco have dedicated themselves fully to this company, an exemplary company has emerged here. The focus is always on the local variety Nero d'Avola, pure in this wine. The name Sens (i) nverso says it all: Father Francesco Lena initiated the “Biodynamics” project, which today covers the entire winery. The Nero d'Avola was the first of the wines to comply with this concept and is now certified by Demeter.
