About the wine
The Sforzato di Valtellina DOCG gets its characteristic flavor from its complex production process. The combination of traditional origins and the latest winemaking art suits him perfectly!
Tasting note
Garnet red color. Rustic and tight start. With the scent of canned cherries, raisins and gingerbread spices. The palate is followed by dense wild berry and wood aromas, as well as a fresh nuttiness. Despite its high alcohol content, it is tasty and down-to-earth. A concentrated, spicy Nebbiolo with dense flesh.
Culinary recommendation
Unsere Empfehlung: Der Rotwein schmeckt am besten bei leicht gekühlten 16°-18°C. Zu Burrata, Trüffelrisotto und Pizza empfehlen Ihnen die Flaschenpöstler diesen Sforzato di Valtellina DOCG.
Vinification
Angaben über Vinifizierung: Die Trauben für den Sforzato werden auf Holzrosten ausgebreitet und während 3 bis 4 Monaten getrocknet. Anfangs Januar werden die Trauben gepresst und in Stahltanks vergoren. Der Ausbau erfolgt dann in grossen Holzfässern.
