Tasting note
Deep purple right down to the core. The nose shows aromas of blueberries, plums, dark chocolate, mocha and vanilla. The sensual, full-bodied palate offers rich aromas of dark chocolate, coffee and black pepper. The tannins give structure and excellent balance to the richness of the palate.
Culinary recommendation
Flaschenpost team recommends this Shiraz Barossa Valley Filsell to accompany red meat, Gruyère burgers and pizza with mushrooms. Our recommendation: Enjoy this red wine at a slightly chilled 16°-18°C.
Vinification
The wine matures in wood for 18 months: 35% in new French and American oak barrels, the rest in one to three-year oak barrels.
