About the wine
Blooming and fertile landscapes of Tuscany give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Antinori conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. Flaschenpost team tip: Combine this Cabernet Sauvignon with Gruyère burgers or pizza with mushrooms.
Tasting note
Youthful Dense ruby red. Intense, complex nose. Cassis, coffee, dark chocolate, ripe cherries, licorice and noble wood. Strong on the palate, with a very well-balanced, juicy structure. Rich in finesse and precise. Powerful tannins of excellent quality. The aromas of the nose are repeated. Long, aromatically lasting finish. The Solaia shows the unmistakable character of the grape varieties, but at the same time its strong Tuscan identity.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with a nice piece of grilled meat with beans
Vinification
The different grape varieties are harvested separately and at the optimum ripening time. After destemming and gentle crushing of the grapes, the mash fermentation takes place in 60 hl wooden vats. The young wine then matures separately according to grape varieties in French oak barriques for approx. 18 months. The wines are then blended and left to rest for some time before bottling. Only approx. 35,000 bottles are produced per year!
