About the wine
Friedrich Becker took his own steps with his winery at a young age and developed his unmistakable style early on. His Pinot Noir table wine was named “Germany's best dry red wine” in 2010 for the seventh time in a row by Gault Millau Germany. Today, he runs the winery together with his son Fritz and is one of the absolute top red wine producers in the country.

Tasting note
The nose is profound with cassis, small red berries, forest soil and spicy and smoky notes. Compact on the palate with firm structure, intensity and juiciness. Expressive fruit aromas with a long finish.
Vinification
Manual harvesting and strict selection, then the grapes are destemmed and fermented on the mash using separately selected ripe centimes. After three weeks of fermentation in open oak vats and rolls, the juice is gently extracted. Further maturation takes place for 18 months in small oak barrels. The wine is bottled without filtration.
