About the wine
As a young man, Friedrich Becker dared to break with the parental tradition of the cooperative business and fill his own wines. This has become one of the best producers in the Palatinate and currently the best Pinot Noir winemaker in Germany. After Becker had already started talking about his clear, acidic white wine style in the 1980s, his collaboration with cellar master Stefan Dorst spurred him on to make constant improvements in red wine.

Tasting note
KatharinaFinessenRich Pinot Noir with red fruit aromas, spiciness and smoky nuances on the nose. Powerful palate with great tannins, complexity, depth, finesse and a juicy finish. Very good potential.
Vinification
The grapes were carefully selected by hand, destemmed and fermented separately on the skins. After two to three weeks of fermentation in open oak vats and laid paper, they were gently juiced. The wine matured for 16 months in small oak barrels. The wine was bottled without filtration and fining of the wine.
