About the wine
Friedrich Becker took his own steps with his winery at a young age and developed his unmistakable style early on. His Pinot Noir table wine was named the “Best Dry Red Wine in Germany” by GaultMillau Germany in 2010 for the seventh time in a row. Today, he runs the winery together with his son Fritz and is one of the absolute top red wine producers in the country.

Tasting note
Medium ruby red, wonderful scent of dark sweet cherries, berry fruits and some tobacco penetrate the nose. Soft and gentle palate structure with an elegant juiciness, lots of terroir seasoning, red cherry fruit and great floralness, stimulating freshness and limestone aromas give the wine the ideal starting point for great maturation potential.
Vinification
Manual harvesting and strict selection, then destemmed and fermented separately on the mash. After two to three weeks of fermentation in open oak vats and laid paper, it is then gently pressed. The subsequent maturation takes place for 18 months in small oak barrels. The wine is bottled without filtration.
