About the wine

Contratto already looks back on 150 years of eventful history. The winery specializes in Methodo Classico, which is no coincidence. Because as early as the 1920s and 30s, Contratto was allowed to produce fine wines for the Vatican and the royal houses. In fact, Contratto was exported to and enjoyed even the remotest corners of the British Empire. Contratto has been owned by Giorgio Rivetti since 2011 — a very committed and experienced winemaker who continues the business today with his family. Thanks to its innovative and tireless commitment, Contratto has remained a popular and successful brand.
