About the wine
With the distinctive white wine 2018 — Su'Imari Vermentino di Sardegna DOC, nuances and accents are redefined. The winemaker from the Italian winery Cantine Su'entu has absolutely mastered his craft. Style and refinement are the characteristics of this white wine, which originates in the picturesque and flourishing landscape of Sardinia. Culinary tip from Flaschenpöstler: This Vermentino is ideal for light dishes or an aperitif.
Tasting note
Extremely fresh and fruity, white peach, floral nuances, yellow apple, Williams pears, honey and a touch of Mediterranean herbs. Also fresh and fruity on the body, harmonious fruit acidity with a slight almond note and mineral touch, gooseberry and kiwi, again a fruity finish.
Culinary recommendation
It goes well with an aperitif, a few degrees warmer, but also with grilled fish, shellfish such as lobster or scampi, Asian cuisine, but not too spicy and sophisticated, and ideal with pasta and white truffles.
Vinification
A slightly different Vermentino! Ten percent is fermented in wooden barrels, the rest in stainless steel. Then everything is matured together on fine yeast for another half year. As a result, the typical freshness of the variety is retained, but the shoulders become wider and the aroma denser.
