About the wine

The courtyard, which dates back to the 14th century, is located in the area where the classic St. Magdalene was born. The traditional farm that has always grown and processed grapes into wine - Vernatsch on the hill and Lagrein on the Eisack plain - has been owned by the same family for 180 years. In the last century alone, three generations have cultivated vines and houses. In 1983, the farm was taken over by Franz Gojer and the wines were marketed himself. The Cru-Lage Furggl in Auer with its stony alluvial soil is ideal for Lagrein, resulting in a particularly long-lasting wine with lots of minerality and significant tannins.
