Tasting note
A new, very elegant Etna wine from Donnafugata, made from the autochthonous Nerello Mascalese variety and some Nerello Cappuccio. Attractive bouquet, cranberries, currants, violets, black tea, tarry notes. Elegant on the palate, very precise, clear contours, fine-meshed, floating and wonderfully gripping. A perfect, extremely exciting dining companion.
Culinary recommendation
Von den Flaschenpöstlern empfohlen: Sul Vulcano Etna Rosso DOC Donnafugata harmoniert hervorragend mit Rindsgulasch und sizilianischen Pastagerichten.
Vinification
Aged for 14 months, partly in barriques and partly in steel tanks.
