Rooted in the oldest wine-growing soil in the world, which consists of decomposed granite on the higher slopes of the Helderberg, a location that has proven its worth as a Grand Cru site. This vineyard enjoys the refreshingly cool False Bay (Atlantic Ocean) breezes during the day and cool night air flowing down the mountain, resulting in uniform maturation and good natural acidity. Organic and biodynamic practices are used, which include the avoidance of pesticides, herbicides and chemical sprays. In addition, compost, teas and biodynamic preparations produced in-house are used. The grapes were picked by hand in small boxes and the harvest was reduced to ensure that only the perfect grapes were used for this wine. Biodynamic practices were also used in the cellar.
