About the wine
The winery was founded in 1896 in the municipality of Balavaud in Lower Valais. Jean-René Germanier took over the winery from his father. Today, Gilles Besse, Jean-René's nephew, manages the estate with great success. In recent years, the company has been completely equipped with new cellar technology and forms an important framework for Valais wine. Autochthonous grape varieties such as Cornalin, Humagne and Amigne were on the Jean-René Germanier program even before the hype about local and traditional food began.
Now until 2030.
Tasting note
It has an intense red color with plum tones. The first aromas on your nose are like an invitation to stroll through a fruit market. It then gradually opens up with notes of spices and precious woods. On the palate, it seduces with its fullness and crispness. The tannic structure is clear and elegant at the same time.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with red meat, game and wild fowl, lamb and cheese.
