About the wine
If we can offer something special for Christmas 2018, it is this dominant Shiraz 2016 Syrah. Sunny and fertile landscapes of the Coastal Region give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the South African winery Boschkloof conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. Flaschenpöstler tip: Combine this shiraz with roasted vegetables or game.

Tasting note
Complex and attractive bouquet of oriental spices with distinctive aromas of violet and white pepper, with aromas of red fruits. A well-balanced wine with spicy overtones and a long-lasting finish. Very classic style with unmistakable Rhone aromas.
Culinary recommendation
Great wine with cassoulet or braised duck legs in cassis sauce.
Vinification
The grapes come from the Boschkloof wine farm and were harvested by hand and then spontaneously fermented with the skin at 26°C to 28°C. After fermentation, the wine is stored on the skin for another 11 days to achieve maximum concentration and extraction. The wine was further aged for 14 months in French oak barrels, 10% of which were new.
