About the wine

The Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs is only vinified in extraordinary years. It consists exclusively of wines pressed for the first time, which come from the large crus of the Côte des Blancs planted with Chardonnay vines. The grapes are harvested by hand and with great care and brought to the nearby wine press houses. Only the first pressing, the so-called “cuvée”, is used for the Comtes de Champagne. 5% of the Chardonnay was aged in French oak for 4 months and the whole batch underwent biological acid degradation. For at least 5 years, the Comtes de Champagne has sufficient time to develop its full size and character before it is disgorged.
