About the wine
Founded in 1893, the Terlan winery is now one of the leading winegrowers' cooperatives in South Tyrol. For many years, the winery, together with its cooperative members, has pursued a strict quality course, which has earned reputation and recognition from the international wine market.
Robert Parker: 93/100
Tasting note
Sparkling straw yellow with green reflections in the glass. Green apple and white peach on the nose characterize the classic Terlan, which also has a fine shade of lemon balm and mint. The peach aroma is also very strong on the palate and makes the Terlan come alive. The multi-faceted, structured taste is characterized by an interplay of freshness and minerality as well as a great length.
Culinary recommendation
It goes well with amuse bouche, hors d'oeuvre, chicken dishes, cheese soufflés, herb omelettes and freshwater fish.
Vinification
Harvesting and grape selection by hand, gentle pressing and clarification of the must through natural sedimentation of the trub substances. Slow fermentation at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. Ageing for six to seven months on fine yeast, partly in stainless steel tanks (50%), partly in large wooden barrels (50%).
