About the wine

Terra di Lavoro takes its name from the province of the former Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, to which the current territory of Caserta belongs. The Galardi winery is located in the northernmost tip of Campania near the border with Lazio. The vintages from 1994 to today have been rated as excellent by experts and the public. The vines were planted on volcanic soil; the vineyards are extremely rocky and can therefore only be cultivated with great effort. Due to the barren and rocky subsoil, yields are extremely low. Only a few thousand bottles are filled here every year. The wine guide Veronelli awards Galardi's 2008 Terra di Lavoro 100 points.
