About the wine
With experience and intuition, the winemaker from the South African winery Warwick masters this red wine in the beautiful and beautiful landscape of the Coastal Region. With this dominant Cabernet Sauvignon 2012 — Three Cape Ladies Cabernet Merlot Pinotage, the term taste takes on a new meaning. Tasting note
The “Three Cape Ladies” appears in the glass with an impressively deep, garnet red color. Fragrant aromas of ripe plums are noticeable, paired with the fruity smell of juicy blackberries. Elegant undertones of mint and chocolate are added to support. In terms of taste, the cuvée is seamlessly linked to its bouquet. The fruity, elegant nuances compliment the soft, full-bodied tannins and create a unique harmony.
Culinary recommendation
Goes fantastically with a classic roast lamb or oxtail ravioli.
Vinification
The “Three Cape Ladies” is a cuvée made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Pinotage grape varieties. The former delivers the impressively full-bodied character and mint nuances. The Syrah variety stands for strong, aromatic red wines and contributes the juicy blackberry aromas. The small amount of pinotage perfectly complements the two grapes and creates a powerful overall impression. After harvesting, the Three Cape Ladies matured in new and old French oak barrels, which gave it enormous storage potential. Although the wonderful red wine already tastes excellent to the connoisseur today, the wine can develop its full character after many years of storage in the wine cellar.
