About the wine
The founder of Azores Wine Company is António Maçanita. He is one of Portugal's most successful oenologists. António has found his personal challenge, particularly in the reconstruction of old wine landscapes. That's how he finally ended up on the volcanic island of Pico in the Azores. The ancient vineyards there are unique and were declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2004.
