About the wine
Give yourself joy for the senses with the fine Trittenheimer Altärchen Riesling Kabinett fruchtig QmP from 2016! The winemaker from the German winery F.J. Eifel masters this white wine with sensitivity and intuition in the picturesque landscape of the Moselle-Saar-Ruwer region.
Tasting note
This Riesling cabinet feinherb appears in a light straw yellow. On the nose, aromas of citrus fruits, ripe peach, dried mango, orange peel and a hint of green tea inspire. On the palate, the wine is beautifully balanced with lots of citrus fruit and a perfect sweet-acid game, which leads to a slightly mineral finish. An animating Riesling with just about 10% alcohol by volume, lots of melt and an irresistible drinking flow.
Culinary recommendation
For pure enjoyment, with cheese variations, spicy foods, Asian cuisine, soups, z'vieri platters
Vinification
In addition to the pharmacy, the Trittenheimer Altärchen vineyard is probably the most famous location in Trittenheim. Located a little lower on the side of the village, the Moselle has deposited sediments here for centuries and so there is a meter-high layer of sandy loam and gravel on the slate soil. The vines are organically maintained (certified) and harvested by hand. Fermentation is carried out with natural yeasts, the maturation mainly in stainless steel. Any additions as well as fining are dispensed with.
