About the wine
We have a special, strong Cabernet Sauvignon from 2010 for you, which is loved by many wine connoisseurs. The winemaker from the Italian winery Poggio al Sole masteres this red wine with sensitivity and intuition in the blooming and fertile landscape of Tuscany. Culinary tip from Flaschenpöstler: This Cabernet Sauvignon can be served very well with red meat or ribeye steak.
Tasting note
The Merlot-Cabernet-Sangiovese triumvirate flatters with lots of ripe fruit, harmony and winey sweetness on the nose; the palate is dominated by a fruity texture and an easy flowing body, easy to drink, not too fattening, just right. A great everyday wine or, as Johannes says, a perfect spaghetti wine.
Culinary recommendation
Everything from Tuscany, of course, such as Affettati Misti - cold cuts and sausages. Grilled vegetables with olive oil and toasted bread. Papardelle with meat or seafood, bistecca fiorentina and grilled sea fish. Young cheeses made from cow, sheep, or even goat milk. Spaghetti wine - as Johannes calls it!
Vinification
Handpicked and fermented in an elegant stainless steel tank. The grapes are vinified separately and also ripen separately for the first few months. This is followed by a cuvée of the 3 varieties. Ageing again in used five-year barriques and 6 months of bottle rest. The production is around 8500 bottles per vintage.
