About the wine
What Markus Schneider has achieved in the last 22 years is hard to believe. In 1994, it started from scratch, so to speak. And today, 22 years later, he and his team work 92 ha, for about a year now also in the newly built winery building. It is described by the German trade press as The Phenomenon and The Darling of the Young Scene.
Tasting note
Crimson color, dark red ripe fruit on the nose, spicy herbal notes and some chocolate. The mild acidity remains discreetly in the background and the tannins are also harmonious. A charming and accessible red wine.
Culinary recommendation
Flaschenpost team tip: Goes great with red meat, pizza with mushrooms and Gruyère burgers.
Vinification
Hand picking, gentle pressing under low pressure, then aging in stainless steel tanks and wooden barrels.
